Season Finale - Pirelli celebrates 51 MX World Titles

2008 September 14th is another date that Pirelli is proud to add to its racing winning records.

That Sunday three young riders have given us a great satisfaction by bringing the SCORPION MX to the top of the podium in all the three classes of World MX Championship.

Their names are David Philippaerts of Team Yamaha Monster Rinaldi, Tyla Rattray of Team KTM Factory and Sven Breuglemans of Team KTM J.Martens winners, respectively, of MX1, MX2 and MX3 Class.

The success in all Categories is an event of true prestige for Pirelli. To find an equal result, you have to go back to 1997, when Chicco Chiodi, Stefan Everts and Joel Smets won respectively the 125cc, 250cc, 500cc class.

Since the beginning of the Championship in 1980, Pirelli has been capable to sweep the first place in all MX classes 5 times, in 1980, 1981, 1984, 1997 and 2008.
